Founded with care
Our person-centered approach addresses the needs of both caregivers and their loved ones. By leveraging technology, we bring the expertise of clinical behavioral psychologists and other experts right to your fingertips, making smart guidance easily accessible for all caregivers.
It’s invisible, unrelenting, and borne out of a deep love—often at the expense of the caregiver’s own needs. Our co-founder, Dr. Linda Buscemi, a clinical psychologist and behavioral expert, experienced this firsthand while her mother-in-law cared for her mother, and while working with senior living residents for decades.
With her deep empathy and experience, she set out to find a way to utilize technology to cost-effectively support those who care for others, who may put their own care needs last, or who may not even know how to express them.
In 2021, the first iteration of elbi was developed and deployed into the senior living community where it was successfully validated by 8 senior living franchises. There, it became evident that we had to get elbi into the hands of family caregivers who provide so much with so little support.
Trust
elbi is built on a foundation of trust—trust in our expert-developed and personalized approaches, trust that your information is secure, and trust that we’re committed to what’s best for you and your loved ones. Always.
Accuracy
We take the guesswork out of caregiving, empowering you with reliable, expert-driven guidance at your fingertips.
Compassion
Caregiving is an emotional journey shared between the caregiver and the care recipient, and our philosophy centers on ensuring both are seen and supported.
Connection
Instead of letting technology strip away human connection, we’re leveraging it to enhance connection so caregivers and their loved ones can enjoy improved interactions.
At elbi, we believe that every human desires—and deserves—to feel loved, appreciated, and respected. For caregivers, the absence of these feelings, despite understanding the challenges faced by their loved ones, can lead to emotional strain. The stress of a one-sided relationship, where appreciation and love are not always reciprocated, can increase the burden and eventually lead to burnout.
elbi understands the need to support caregivers and provides tools they can easily apply to ease their stress and improve their connection with their loved ones. Our approach ensures that caregivers feel valued and supported, enhancing their ability to provide compassionate care.
